  • Check-in is after 4pm and check-out is by 10am EST.

Property Access

  • Rental guests have access to the grounds around the lake house, all hiking trails, and may fish in the lake.
  • Guests are not permitted inside the lake house or on its patio.
  • ATVs are not permitted on the hiking trails.

Policies and Rules

  • Sweetgrass is an environmentally conscious community that observes a catch and release fishing policy to ensure a sustained fish population.
  • The Sweetgrass neighborhood does not permit firearm discharge, fireworks, golf carts, dirt bikes, four wheelers, loud music, or other objectionable noises that disrupt the quiet enjoyment of the natural environment.
  • During quiet hours (10PM – 8AM), all outdoor noise should be kept to a minimum.
  • No smoking allowed.
  • Minimum age: 25 years.
  • Children allowed.
  • No events allowed.
  • This home is pet friendly. The maximum number of pets allowed is 99. Pet rent is $25 per pet per night, plus tax. Pets must be kept on a leash and guests are required to clean up after their pets and dispose of waste.

Fees and Payments

  • CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 30+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 15-29 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 14 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
  • Firewood for the outdoor fire pit may be purchased at the time of booking or with a week's notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a fire starter for $25 plus tax per night.
  • Guests returning to Sweet Serenity may receive a 10% discount off the rent, not to be stacked with other discounts.

Parking and Transportation

  • Free parking is available on site.
  • The roads leading to this home are flat and easy to navigate; however, guests are responsible for winter weather preparedness, including driving an AWD or 4WD vehicle during winter months.

Utilities and Amenities Access

  • All BRMR homes offer well-stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals.
  • There is a starter set of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two.
  • Hair dryers are not provided.
  • Towels and linens are provided.
  • Bed linens, towels, and cooking basics are included.
  • Amenities include high-speed internet, clothes washing machine, clothes dryer, dishwasher, toaster, pool table, stove, oven, smoke alarm, carbon monoxide detector, and free parking.
